    Hey guys!
I have been on these forums looking for an answer and can’t seem to find one. I have done an edit (I typically do just video and then deal with audio once I’m good to go), and am having trouble figuring out how to separate two stereo tracks to individual mono tracks.

If the clips are already in the timeline you can’t do “breakout to mono”, and I’ve tried with all the settings, but I can’t figure out how to unlink the grouped stereo tracks. I’m still used to FCP 7 where you hit apple S and that solves the issue, but can’t figure this out. If you have any ideas, let me know!

do you need both channels or just one or the other?

if only one or the other….

you should be able to use the “fill left” or “fill right” effects found in the effects folders…
