  Spline objects don’t connect

  Hi!
  I have a task to make female symbol in splines and then extude it with extrude nurbs.
  But I can’t work out how to do the middle part of the sign (little circle) connect to the other outer part. Functions/connect don’t connect it in one spline object but rather creates some invisible object that can not be extruded.
  Would be glad to hear solution from you:)
