    Hi Cow Experts –

I am having a spinning cursor issue on my MacBookPro when using FCP. The project opens fine and I can do a little bit of work, but then the spinning cursor appears and I have to wait a minute or two or three before beginning work again.

I have 160GB free on the external HD I’m using so don’t think it’s a space issue. I only have one sequence open. I haven’t added any transitions or filters yet, nor have I rendered anything. I’m just trying to cut clips in the viewer to bring down to the timeline.

Any ideas or suggestions? You’re always so helpful! Let me know if there is any other info I can provide.
