  speeding up a film

  Hi,
  I am helping a student with a film.The camera was placed in one position but I want to speed it up so you can see the change in the lighting. It is 1 hour long but wants to be sped up so its only 1 or 2 minutes long in total.
  I guess FCP would not go that fast in the speed settings?
  Is there an easy way of doing it please without splitting the film down to be shorter?
