Speed up the footage
I have Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 6, and know that I can click ‘control’ and drag a portion of my clip to either speed things up or slow it down. However, I would like to speed it up to more than 400%. Basically I’d like to take about 5 min. of video and speed it up to see it in 30 sec or so.
Is this 400% the max, or are there some other tricks out there?

In Movie Studio, 400% is the max. At that point, you render out the segment, put that segment back on the timeline, and then do it another 400% (or as needed). If you need even faster, render again and apply it again to that rendered clip.
With the full version, you can also use the Velocity Envelope to get up to 300% and you can combine the two to get up to 1200%.
