    Hi all
I need a little help. I’m pretty new to FCP, and am working with verions 5. I’m having problems speeding up a clip. I’ve sped up/slowed down using a few clips early on in my sequence and they are fine. Im used Constant Speed for this.

But later in my sequence when I try to make a play faster (both punching in a new percentage/changing the duration of a clip) I get a message saying:
Unable to complete command. A conflict occureed during trim operation.

It seems to let me slow a clip down, but not speed it up.
I don’t know what this conflict is or how to resolve it. Any ideas anyone? Help!
    Thanks in advance.
    J

Load the clip in the viewer and change it there….

I am having the same problem. I have speeded up a clip over and over, and then all of a sudden, I too started getting the error message, “unable to complete command. A conflict occurred during a trim operation.”

I put the clip in the viewer, and it still didn’t work!

I am now doing a work around. I copy the clip and paste it in a new sequence. My speed changes work well there. I still don’t know what the problem is, but I will work on that after I finish this project.
