Speed and time editors
I am fairly new to editing and was wondering how I could change the speed of a clip without changing the length of the clip.
I’ve heard there is a tool but I do not know what the name of it is and therefore I cannot search for it.

Final cut 7? Right click on the clip, change speed. In the dialog box that comes up, uncheck ripple sequence.
