  • Spanning recording over two sd cards

I own a Sony NX5U camera and love it. However, I have recorded events that span across two sd cards. The video never loses a frame during the span but the audio loses 28-29 frames at the very end of the first card immediately before the span. Is anyone familiar with this and is there a solution? Thank you for your help and response.

    Mark,

Are you using the Sony provided Content Management Utility to bring the files to your computer?

I had audio drops at the file closure points when I tried to use a different method, but not when I use CMU software.

CMU will concatenate the files into one clip with no dropouts

Hi, Thank you guys for your responses. I have the CMU disc but it says it is for PCs working with Windows programs. I use Final Cut Pro 7 and log and transfer works fine except where the spanning from card A to card B takes place. That is where the audio only loses the frames.
