I know this topic has been beaten like a dead horse, but after all my research I still cannot resolve the following issue.

When editing a spanning clip in CS6 my audio is progressively falling out of sync. I use MovieClip app to sync my audio and video, and it starts off perfectly synced.

I am filming with a Sony HDR-XR200V (recording to camera’s hard drive) and using separate audio (recording to my iPhone).

I know this isn’t an audio issue because shorter clips stay synced (only spanning clips are an issue).

I have tried editing with my windows laptop and also using my friend’s MacBook Pro (2.6 GHz retina — so awesome!).

On Windows I use Sony PMB which imports the spanned clips as one nice .mt2s file (apparently this file doesn’t work well with CS6). On the MAC I have tried dragging the entire file folder and that didn’t work. I have also tried using ClipWrap and re-wrapping the file. I even tried encoding it to AIC but that still did not work.

I’m at a complete loss here. I’ve read up on this all over the web and tried following other people’s suggestions, but cannot solve this audio sync issue.

I haven’t tried importing directly from the camera to the Mac with iMovie, but I can try that. Problem is when you import at FULL quality you use 40gbs per hour or some insane amount of hard drive space.

Anyone have a solution to this issue? I’m considering going back to an older version of Ppro just to work with my spanning clips. 🙁
