Is there any way to select a frame in the source monitor, then have the timeline locate that same frame in an edited sequence? Seems odd that it can’t be done.

AFAIK it can’t be done and it does not seem odd to me. Just consider a still on the time line with the default 150 frames duration. Which frame should be picked? The first, the last, the middle one, or all the frames that are equal to the source monitor. I don’t know. What about a clip of some static scenery, you want the program to search all your sequences for an exact match of the frame selected in the source window? I wonder what that would do to search times…….
