source tapes with audio in 32k and 48k
Hi everyone.
I am assisting with a project that has some source tapes with 32k audio and some with 48k audio. I’ve heard that this will be sort of a nightmare to work with (clips with the 32K audio will have to be rendered every time they’re moved around in the sequence, right?). Luckily, it’s a relatively small number tapes with the 32K audio, 20 out of 80, and I’m thinking it would save time and inconvenience down the line if I were able to convert the audio to 48k somehow. How would you suggest that I do this? Digitizing them, converting the audio, and laying them off to tape again? Is there a better way?
Thanks so much for your help!
Kate
