Source/Record Function Greyed

New to the new AVID MC. I have a project with audio and video and trying to sync. I’d like to use the toggle source record button to see waveform, however when I double click to load into source monitor, my clip or audio appears, but the toggle source/record button remains greyed.

I have successfully done this on a different computer using the same footage and settings. Any ideas on workarounds so I don’t have to totally restart this project?

If you double click a clip to load it into the source monitor, you still have to click on the “grey” record/source monitor button. This will turn it green, and then your timeline is showing you the source side.

Are you saying if you click on the grey button, it remains grey?
