  • Source Monitor In/Out point weirdness working with multiple clips/interpret footage

Posted by Clay Stearns on October 23, 2012 at 6:34 pm

I have about 7 clips posted up to the source monitor and am using ‘interpret footage’ to take them from 60fps to 30 fps. I set in/out points on the first one and drag it into my sequence no problem.

But when I go to the second clip and interpret it down to 30fps, I’m not able to set in and out points in the source monitor. Tried it with both the i/o keyboard buttons and the equivalent mouse buttons in the source monitor window.

Working with AVI’s out of fraps. One workaround I found is by dragging another clip into the source monitor, then switching back to the clip I wanted to set in/out points for. But why doesn’t it work the way it’s supposed to?

    Thanks,

    Clay

Experimenting more with it, I notice =when I use my workaround to go to another clip and go back to the one that wasn’t registering my in/out points that it is updating with the in/out points.

It seems like Premiere is registering my in/out points on the first try, it’s just not displaying them in the source monitor until I go to another clip and come back. So this is probably a bug…

I do not think its a bug, I think ist more Premiere not being keen on Fraps.
