  • Soundtrack Pro Install Reverted FCP to 6.0 – How to Properly Update back to 6.0.6

I installed Soundtrack Pro so I could use its noise reduction tool and in doing so, FCP & Compressor have reverted back to 6.0 and 3.0. I have had problems before with running the standard Software Update (it wouldn’t recognize my serial number as legitimate), so I went back to a Time Machine backup and just restored the Applications by clicking on the Application Icon and clicking restore.

It seems to be working, but have I caused any sort of larger problems in doing it this way? Also, I now have two FCP and two Compressor icons in the Applications folder (since I told Time Machine to keep both). Can I just drag the older versions to the trash or do I need to do something else?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Run Software Update.

    All the best,
