I’m having aproblem with a .Mov file that i need to transfer back to DVCam tape. I thought the quickest way to do this would be to drop it into FCP ( i’ve got V6 that comes with Final cut studio 2) and print to video using the deck connected to the computer.

The file plays fine if i open it in quicktime but when i import it into FCP the sound gets gradually more out of sync withthe pictures, by the end of the 9 minutes the sound is more than 30 seconds behind. When i scrub through the sequence the sound is in sync, when i play it it isn’t

I think I’ve checked that all the settings in FCP are set to PAL DV 48kHz which is what the quicktime was exported as but i may well be missing something. I’m quite new to FCP.

i’d be grateful for any help anyone could offer or pointers to previous threads that might help. I have a deadline of the end of the day to get this project played out.

    Kind regards

    Karen
