I am trying to reduce the dvd size to fit on a 4.7 gig dvd by reducing sound quality. There is only voice and I’m wondering if 32.000 khz at 8bit fast quicktime compression (linear PCM0 would be okay for a production dvd5?

You should be using AC3 not PCM, it’s the standard for DVDs, takes up much less room, has less overhead for the player, and if you’re using Compressor it’s the already setup in every DVD preset.
