I recently did some filming on a Flip HD camera. I recorded my sound via a Blue Microphone into Garage Band on my Mac. I have gone to edit it but I have a massive problem: The sound just will not sync up at all!

The Flip HD creates MP4 videos which seem to be 29.97 fps. However, in order to get it to work with FCP I use compressor to convert these files into Apple Pro Res 422 files. These seem to run at 30fps. Is this the issue? If so, how do I change this as I need to convert the MP4 files into Pro Res so they work?

Garage band makes MP4 Itunes files which I convert to MP3 so as I can import them into FCP.

The sync is out by about half a frame. I try to jog it on in FCP but it skips one frame backwards or forwards. Is there anyway you can move it along less than this so as I can sync it up?

    My Mac is version 10.5
    FCP is version 6

I am really struggling with this and really need it to work so if anyone can help me out I will be so very grateful

    Thank you

FCP prefers .aif 16 bit 48k audio files.
