Sound editing software for mobiles that is like vegas?
Has anyone found a sound editing programme for iPhone that allows one to see the timing of a sound clip and not just the entire file timing?
I need to be able to edit a sound clip, taking out empty space in a voice recording and then be able to see the length of the edited clip in the entire file….just like we do in Sony Vegas
I have found TWISTEDWAVE (only tried their online version) that seems to go much of the way but it only shows the entire length of the clip so a highlighted area of sound is unknown in time duration
There are some interesting products coming out for XLR mic input to Digital 30 pin input to the iPhone, giving a truly mobile input device but without accurate time editing I cannot send to studio FTP knowing I match their timing needs. Yes the small screen is an issue but it is only one sound channel. Any ideas? Thanks

I’ve used the iRig Pre and software it comes with download audio editing software. I’m not sure of your needs, but try this site iRig: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/mobile/products/cat-view.php?C=connectivity

It seems new interface products now use the digital input so avoid the low pass filter that apparently exists in the analogue input but your link is a valuable fall back THANK YOU

If the above is a sound track in vegas
One can place the mouse over the two % above and highlight this area between the two % marks in the diagram above and see its timing
So if this is 3.5 seconds and it needs to be 3 one can take out some silences in this clip BUT one needs to know the timing between the % marks – as is visible with Vegas. Irig SW does not appear to show this timing nor any other mobile app so far.
