  • Sound disappearing and reappearing in project using mts files

Now I am getting really p** off. I managed to import mts files from a Sony Sr-10e AVCHD into a sequence-timeline “fish”, including sounds etc. I saved and closed. Few days later, started a new project importing again AVCHD mts files from the same camera (but other, higher quality settings) with probably slightly different sequence settings. After working on that project, I closed and saved it, and went back to my first fish project. Big shock: in my work area – timeline, almost ALL sound had disappeared!!

I thought I had gone crazy. To check that, I checked one of the source files by playing it in the VLC player. Sound ok. Big surprise…on that file and some other sections/clips in my sequence, the sound was back. I tried another part of my timeline where the sound had disappeared..still no sound. I played the original in VLC and WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING TO PP CS6, the sound in my timeline was back for that and several next sections. Playing one more source file in VLC and ALL sound was back in my timeline in PP. Can anybody explain this?

Extra info: the sound is in 5.1.
