September 24, 2015 at 12:44 pmIt also works in the same bin, if you just cut the clips from list view, change (the same) empty bin to icon view, and then paste the clips.
Thanks for this great tip! -

April 17, 2016 at 9:16 pmUsing the media browser sorted by name or in many cases file number, I was able to drag them into a bin all at once in order. I first tried one at a time then two then 10 and then I deleted the clips in the bin and then brought them all in. That import window doesn’t work. This worked for me.

August 25, 2016 at 7:57 pmNext to the zoom controller on the bin there is a doble arrow icon. You click on it and you can pick how you want to sort it out.

August 26, 2016 at 1:18 amThanks!
I found the double arrow on the project pane but not on the media browser.
FWIW, I would like to sort the media browser display while in icon view.

August 26, 2016 at 9:37 amGuys, the original problem was related to Premiere Pro CS6, which didn’t have sorting option built in. In CC versions there is no such problem, as Alex described – there is multiple sort options. As for media browser the not-so-great workaround is switching to list view, and then on top of the column you can click on “NAME” to set ascending or descending sort.
