    Hi,

I’m encoding a 1920×1080 50i three minute video from Avid 6.5.2 in Sorenson Squeeze 8.1.0, using the HDTV 25 720P setting. Exporting the video without the rolling credit works fine. But, when I try to export it with the rolling credit, it stops right before the credits and shows the error message: Failed-encoding ACE_MPEG_GEN_VIDEO_COMPRESSION.

Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do about it?

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul

Do a video mixdown, and export that.

Hi, I haven’t done a video mixdown and will do this and export it again.

    Sincerely,

    Paul

    Hi,

It has worked after the mixdown. Thanks for the advice!

    Hi,

It has exported to Squeeze ok, but whenever I encode it and send it out of Squeeze for some reason it always cuts off the end of the video. Do you have any idea why this would be happening?

Two things I can think of.

    1. check and see if ‘use selected tracks and markers’ (or something similar) is checked in your export settings. If so, either deselect it or make sure you have an ‘in point’ at the first frame of your time line and an ‘out point’ at the very end.

    2. I always see the video end one frame before the actual end of the show. This is most noticeable when a fade to black doesn’t go all the way to black. I just make a practice to make the video track end one (or more)frame before the audio track and then it works fine.

Or it could be something else entirely.
