    Sorenson Squeeze constantly failing to encode

    Hi,

    I’ve done a video mixdown of a three minute 1920×1080 50i video in Avid MC 6.5.2, added it to the sequence and sent it to Squeeze. I’m applying the HDTV 25 720P Preset on it and always get the following error message

    Failed encoding-ACE_MPEG_GEN_VIDEO_COMPRESSION

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled Squeeze, 8.1.0, and still get this error message. Is there a way to get this to work properly?

    This has now worked out fine. What I did was to export a QT reference file, import then into Squeeze and then applied the Preset. Everything worked fine without an error message.
