    Hi there,

I have just invested in a a Sony Z7 for my work. All my footage is edited for internet video only and the solid state cf card allows quick stock transfer to Final Cut Pro 6. I’m told that the native progressive scan of the camera is perfect for computer reproduction.
My question is this: Is it possible to log and transfer the footage to fcp6 in progressive sd format? For quick editing and transfer I always use the ilink down convert function but the natively shot progressive footage still seems to have interlaced lines (jagged edges) when outputted in Final Cut as a ‘quicktime movie’ (for use with Episode Pro). Obviously I can deinterlace but this defeats the purpose of the native progressive recording.
What settings should I use to maintain progressive scan all the way through to quicktime movie output?

    Thank you in advance
    James
