Hi everyone, after updating to the latest version of Final Cut 11, when I import files from the SD card of the Sony PVW Z150, the files recorded in XAVC HD 4K format are not read properly. The card’s folder structure is not correctly recognized in the import window. The same MXF files, when opened with QuickTime Player, stutter and show small artifacts, but if the MXF file is imported directly into Final Cut, it works correctly. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Dragging in the MXF files saves a lot of disk space. I try to avoid the import window unless absolutely necessary. There will be no issue simply using the MXF files in FCP.

When Final Cut imported Sony files through the import window, it used to convert the MXF into a .mov without any recompression. What’s strange, however, is that both Quick Viewer and QuickTime Player play the MXF files choppily and with glitches when accessed directly from the Finder
