August 6, 2010 at 3:04 amSony XDCAM Transfer is at version 2.12.
ClipBrowser version 2.6
Generally Sony’s updates include bug fixes and compatibility for what was at the time a new OS (Snow Leopard). -

August 6, 2010 at 4:12 amYup. The issue you’re describing had to do with an incompatibility with Snow Leopard that many people experienced.

August 6, 2010 at 6:05 pmThis was a “hot” issue when Snow Leopard came out and it took Sony MONTHS to update XDCAM Transfer to fix it. I guess it’s been a long time since people upgraded to Snow Leopard so the thread is way buried in the form. This issue bit me when I upgraded too and I not only posted here, I called Sony and they immediately admitted they weren’t compatible yet and suggested it could take almost a year! to fix it. It took a bit less than that though.

August 7, 2010 at 10:11 amThanks for the Update I Bought the F800 last year and found that the Codec for Variable Frame rate recording replay was only released in April by FCP..Sony Blamed everyone for the delay ! Why are we paying so much for gear that the Codecs and Drivers are still being developed and we can’t use the equipment to full capacity ? There needs to be some responsibility by the manufacturer to have the full functionality available on release at NAB ! I am in Cairns Australia, rather cut off from the real world so these issues cause me grief !!!
