I’ve been having trouble for months now with the XDCAM EX Browser. I’m running version 2.06. All of the material we’re shooting with the F3 opens just fine with Avid MC’s AMA feature, but when I open a card in Clip Browser, I’m just getting black squares with an X for each shot, and no way to play them back. I’m also not changing the folder structure in any way underneath the BPAV folder.

I’m running Mac OS X 10.6.8. It’d be nice to fix this so I don’t have to open Avid to view shots from a card. Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to use XDCAM Browser 2.0 or higher with clips shot on an F3 running 1.20 or later firmware. EX Clip Browser had been discontinued and F3 v 1.2 and up require the newer Browser software due to some slight changes in the clip and card metadata..
