Hi Guys, I am using Sony Vergas 10 and I am working on the same footage for a while. It seems the quality of the footage is deteriorating the longer I am working on the footage, I can see this in the preview of the video. However is this down to settings in Vegas or is it down to editing and rendering of the same footage over and over again ? Any reponses much appreciated.

My guess is that the Preview window is automatically dropping the playback resolution on you.
This is a new “feature” that was added in Pro 9.

Vegas can now automatically adjust the video preview size and quality to optimize frame rate during preview.

Right-click the Video Preview window and select Adjust Size and Quality for Optimal Playback if you want to emphasize frame rate during preview.
When the command is not selected, video quality is emphasized, and the frame rate will be reduced if necessary.
