    Hi ,

Ive been using Sony Vegas 9 & All Was Fine But Something Has changed.

My Project Size Is Set To 860 x 480. (Thats what i want.)
My Imported Pictures Are Resized To 860 x 480 Before Importing.

But when i render I am Now Getting Letterbox Top & Bottom (Below)?!?!

Yes The Final Product has Letterbox top & Bottom.

    This was not Happening Before.

I am also trying to change my Preview Size & Display Size To 860 x 480
but am not having much luck?!?!

These issues are driving me Nuts trying to fix …

Any help would be Greatly Appreciated!!! Thankyou.

-Right click on one of your images in the timeline and UNcheck “maintain aspect ratio” under the Video Event tab and click OK.
-Now click on that same image again in the timeline and press CTRL+C. -Highlight all the rest of your images in the timeline, right click and select “Paste Event Attributes”.

Pasting event attributes will automatically uncheck the “maintain aspect ratio” button on all the rest of the clips. Avoiding you from having to do it manually for each one.

You’ll see the letter boxing disappear from the preview monitor.

What is the Pixel Aspect Ratio of your project set to? It should be 1.000.

Oh wow, that’s a lot easier. John – would my method distort the image? I come across aspect ratio issues a lot and I’m always just winging it.

I’m not sure what you are asking because I’m uncertain of what you mean by “your method”. If you want your video to be 860 x 480 then make sure everything you do is at that resolution with a PAR of 1.000. So your project and your render should be 860 x 480 PAR 1.000 and nothing will get distorted.

    You can resize in Vegas.

Right click left end of the timeline, then:

pan/crop – right click image – “match output”
