Sony Vegas Transition Presets Are Copied to the System but Don’t Show up in Sony Vegas
Posted by Jeremy Morris on May 3, 2020 at 4:28 amI have downloaded and copied multiple transition presets but they have not showed in Sony Vegas. The presets I have use sapphire, which I downloaded. I don’t know what to do.

You can’t really see but in Sony Vegas i’m on the Transition Packages folder tab which should have them in there.Francois Pénzes replied 6 years, 4 months ago 2 Members · 5 Replies -

May 3, 2020 at 2:41 pmHi Jeremy
For starters, what version of VEGAS are you using ? ( It was Sony VEGAS up to V13 and Magix VEGAS from V14 on.)
Vegas Pro or Movie Edit ?
How did you get your Saphire plugins. Did they come with a purchased download of VEGAS or did you get Saphire separately ? If you previously had an older version of the plugin, the newer version will overwrite the older one and you will no longer have access to the plugins from the previous version. Even the trial version will do that.
Another thing that may not apply to you but to someone else reading this, If you chose to “show licensed plugins only” at install , only the plugins you have licensed will be shown in VEGAS.
Cheers !

May 4, 2020 at 9:07 amVegas Pro 14, I don’t remember where I got Sapphire but I believe I got it separately. Where does the “show licensed plugins only” show? If I clicked it do I have to reinstall Vegas again?
Thank you for replying!

That message will be there at first install.
However, jugging by the screen shot you posted, it appears that you got your Sapphire plugin from a non-official download site based in New Zealand ( a quick search on Google of EZAM gave it away ) That’s the problem with those cracked downloads, it will create problems with your edits, and your computer, when you use non-legitimate software, not to mention the potential for getting viruses and other malware. It may be that you also got your VEGAS 14 from the same site. That doesn’t help either in having a stable editing environment.
This is the preachy part. I know that for some, the cost of paying for software is out of reach. But someone had to create that software. There is a cost associated with that. I don’t think Boris FX, or others for that matter, would have spent all this time and money to create this software just to give it away for free. They have families to feed. End of the preachy part. ☺
Your only hope at this point is to try your luck by contacting the website were you originally got it from and ask for a workaround from him. He has a request tab.
Mind you, you’ll get great and fast customer support when going thru the official supplier when you purchase from them.
Sorry mate. You’re on your own on this one. Best of luck.
Cheers !

May 4, 2020 at 6:29 pmWell that explains it, thank you for helping me. I’m most likely buying Vegas Pro 17 from amazon next week since it’s in a comfortable price range. Once again thank you and replying.

You stepped up ! I applaud your choice !
Now, before you buy, go take a look at what comes with VEGAS 17.
I would download the trial before buying, just to make sure it meets your needs. Be aware that Vegas Pro, Vegas Pro Edit and Vegas Pro Suite are not the same. With Vegas Pro Edit, you don’t get the Boris FX plugins.
P.S.: Make sure you choose the right country on the Magix web site.
We will be more than happy to help you out if you need us.
Cheers mate !
