A quick question…and I figured I’ve come to the right place to have it answered.

I am editing on Sony Vegas Pro 9e….. cutting XDCAM EX1 material in full HD 1920x 1080 ntsc project.

I want to deliver the edited piece…probably about 5 mins…in MP4…but in HD…is that possible with Vegas?

Alternatively..what would be the best type of file I could deliver given the fact these people are working in Final Cut Pro….they seem to want MP4 as their preference.

Many thanks in advance for any advice!

Yea, use the Sony AVC render type. You could start with the AVCHD 1920×1080-60i template and change the type to MP4 on the System tab.

You could also use the Sony MXF format. FCP should be able to read MXF files.
