sony vegas requirements but still laggs
I got sony vegas movie studio 10 production stuite.so then i installed it and then the video dont work turned out a i needed a codec so i got that and then done all my editing and there you go the preview screen is lagging like nothing i was looking at frames per a second and it was going something like 22….28…..35. so i went on the web and look at all this stop lagg thing on youtube and who know where else but it is still like it. the system requirements are
•1 GHz processor (multicore or multiprocessor CPU recommended for HD)
•1 GB RAM (2 GB RAM recommended for HD)
and my acer aspire has
•AMD Athion || X2 processtor P320 (2.1GHz)
•ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics Up to 1405MB Hypermemory
•3GB DDR3 Memory(Ram)
•250GB HDD
and HD LED Screen and HDMI output so probably handle made HD editing

You failed to mention what codec you were missing and what you actually installed to get it to show up on the timeline. Do you have any fx applied to the footage?

i just upgraded my machine and SVMS to 10 and I noticed that my video was also laggin in preview, turns out that most of my still pics that were in my vid were too large 12-20 megs each. once I brought them down to 1440X960 I got it to preview ok. My question is, why this issue didn’t come up in SVMS 9?
