First of, I had a guy make me an outro/end slate for a video I made, but theres yellow boxes in the panels that I don’t like, and just planned to cover them up instead of asking him to change it, and in the preview it looks all good like so:
but when it renders out and I view it in a media player, this happens:

    Anyone know whats going wrong?

Right cick on your Preview screen, and post here what you have checked/ticked on:-

    Simulate . .

    Scale . . .

    Fit . . . .

Simulate is checked, scale is checked, and fit is not checked.

This usually happens with your project resolution and aspect are different from your render resolution and aspect. Please post a screen shot of your project video settings and render video settings so we can see what you are using.

Just by what you told me, I was able to figure it out and fix it on my own, thank you. Just one more question now, my intro and outro was given to me in 1920×1080, but all the footage of mine is in 1280×720, should i always just render in 1920×1080 anyway, or is there anything else I can do?

If the majority of your footage is 1280×720 I would set my project to 1280×720 and render to 1280×720. The fact that the into is 1920×1080 is irrelevant. You really have a 1280×720 project.
