Sony Vegas Render Issues
Posted by Matheus Dale on July 26, 2018 at 2:53 amI’m having a problem with Sony Vegas Pro 13 where whenever I render a video, no matter the setting, whether Good (Full), Best (Full), it always renders with the quality of Preview (Full).
Even though I changed all the options to Best before rendering …
I’ve even tried resetting Vegas settings.
And another thing, the images on the video track are also low quality …
I would like to know how to solve this.
Thanks in advance.Aaron Star replied 7 years, 9 months ago 5 Members · 22 Replies -

From the screenshots you can not see it so clearly, but it really does make a difference. -

Erm…? So, you ARE Previewing back in VP. I’m glad I asked ‘cos I can now tell you still have a or some Preview or Project FX activated and this will double up anything:
Try removing it, what ever it is, as this will be ADDED to the already Rendered file.

Would you have any other solution? -

July 26, 2018 at 3:01 pmI would start a new project, add just one source media and match your project setting to the media. Set the render to ‘Best’, use ‘CPU only’ to render and then render a test. This is about as clean as you can expect to get and see if the render quality is satisfactory.
If so, perhaps it is something you are doing, such as FX applications.

July 26, 2018 at 3:51 pmHi Matheus,
I’m puzzled by this line in your original post, “And another thing, the images on the video track are also low quality …“.
If you are previewing ‘Best (Full)’, that should be the best you are going to get in your renders. If that quality in your Vegas preview is lower than your source media, there is something else going on way before the render.
Can you post screen shots of your source media (using Mediainfo in text mode), along with a screenshot of your project settings, and a screenshot of your ‘Video’ tab in ‘Preferences…’?
Best Regards……George
