    Hello,

I have a Windows 8 64-bit Lenovo Ideapad Y500 laptop. Recently, I did a complete reset of my laptop. After the reset, I installed the softwares that I had before, including Sony Vegas Pro 11. However, even after updating Windows from the control panel, the video clips I have in Vegas appears different than before. The video clips and its effects were running fine before the reset. Now, the effects seem to appear different on the video clips.

From 0:06 to 0:11 the tv screen effect is weird and the bottom words blink on and off:

This is the one that works:

Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean. Because aren’t you suppose to update Windows whenever there are new updates available?

On a video editing machine, absolutely NOT.

If you can, Roll back your system prior to all updates.

Is it possible to download the video clip of the good intro from YouTube, import it into Vegas, and essentially replace the text? Is that possible? Because I like the introduction that I have in the second link, but I just want to change the texts.

I do update all the time. Even in mid project.

I’ve been doing it for ten years. The only problem came with Vista but I’ve never a problem with Vegas.
