I am busy editing a wedding video in Sony Vegas 9. I want to create two parts to this project. I want the ceremony on one disk and the reception on another disk. Its a catholic wedding and I am affraid its going to come to close to 2 hours cutoff. Can you create two parts in the same project or do you have to start a new project from scratch . If you have to start a new project, how do you transfer all the project media to the new project without going to the import media option.

You can render a project in two halves (or multiple parts). There is no need to create two projects. Just make a timeline selection and then use the render option Render Loop Region Only. This allows you to be very precise about rendering.
