Sony Vegas Pro 8b crashes when starting up.
Hello, I’ve been looking all over for the solution to this problem, but nothing ever worked for me, so I’m asking if anyone can help me out.
I recently got an Acer Aspire 5315-2681 with Windows Vista 32-bit on it. Sony Vegas worked great on it. Well, a few weeks later, I picked up a virus and had to format with the Vista CD. Ever since I formatted, everything has been running slower even though I did a fresh install, and that includes Sony Vegas. I also now have a good anti-virus. 🙂
I will open it up and it will get to “Loading UI…” and stay like that for a few seconds and then I will get the error message saying it suddenly ran into an error and needs to close. I’ve tried everything.. re-installing Vegas, running a virus scan, switching the avi (I think it was) plugin around and deleting it also (since I have seen a lot of people suggest this online), but nothing has worked.
If this helps, I am running Windows Vista Home Basic. I am debating on returning to XP or not. I really want to look more into this because I would like to keep trying Vista.
Sorry for the long post, but I figured I should add as much as I could just incase it helps. If anyone has anything at all, please don’t hesitate to post! I really miss making projects in Vegas. 🙁
