Sony Vegas Pro 8 rendering issue
Posted by Jacob Stein on June 26, 2009 at 12:30 amEvery time I try to render my 24 minute video in Sony Vegas Pro as an mpeg-2 file, it only renders the second half of the video, it wont get the entire thing. The first half is completely black, but in the timeline I select the entire video. What am I doing wrong?

June 26, 2009 at 2:05 amIt would Seems you have the loop region selected over that part
of the timeline….dont select any part…and when rendering,
make sure render loop region only is not selected.Steve Rhoden

June 26, 2009 at 4:29 amI figured that’s what it was! But how do I move the loop arrow thing? Or get rid of it?

June 26, 2009 at 9:44 amSorry for all the posts, I’m new here, but I figured something out from what I see. The only videos that don’t show up(all black) are all from my camcorder, the ones that work are from a different camcorder. The ones from my camcorder(that don’t work) are .avi files, the ones from the other camcorder(that do work) are .mp4 files. Would the file format be the problem?

Yes, it could be. What format are the files? i.e., what codec do they use? What camcorder do they come from? I assume they playback fine on the timeline.

June 27, 2009 at 7:49 pmYes, they do play fine on the timeline, but the ones that don’t work after rendering are .avi files, while the ones that do work are .mp4. Is there an easier way to fix this than having to change ever file?
