February 27, 2015 at 12:29 pmInstead of opening your project from within Vegas, try opening your veg file from windows explorer instead. I had that same problem once.
Of course the other thing is to rename your backup file and load that.
The backup file has the same name as your original veg file but ends in .bacRoger Bansemer – PaintingAndTravel.com

February 27, 2015 at 1:22 pmJust a follow up to Roger’s excellent suggestion. The backup file has a .bak extension. Move it to a different folder, rename it from (for example) myvideo.veg.bak to myvideo.veg and try opening that one. Good luck.

February 27, 2015 at 6:31 pmAre some of the files used on the project on an external drive, or where they originally on an external drive?

February 27, 2015 at 10:38 pmIf you know the folder(s) where your media is located, rename it (them).
E.g.:
D:\Work\theProject\Mediato:
D:\Work\theProject\MediaNewTry open the .veg. Vegas should complain it can’t find any of the media. Choose Specify a New Location or Replacement File. Do each media file one at a time (using the new location) and see if Vegas crashes on a particular file.
