Sony Vegas Pro 12 crashes while opening
Sony Vegas Pro 12 has been working perfectly fine for me until six days ago. Every time I try to open the program, it loads normally but when it reaches the ‘Initializing Device Explorer’ part, it crashes and a window pops up with a message ‘Vegas Pro has stopped working’. I’ve tried uninstalling and re-installing it at least 20 times, but nothing seems to work. Help, please?

What changed six days ago? Something did because computers are inanimate objects, they don’t decide to behave differently on their own. Did you install Microsoft updates? Did you install a new program? Something changed and only you can figure out what that was.
I would try and use System Restore to go back to before six days ago. If you have a daily incremental backup, restore the one from seven days ago. If you don’t have a daily incremental backup, this is a good reason to start taking one. 😉

I have the same problem. If you open your veg project with windows explorer instead of within Vegas, it will open OK. That’s been my experience. Give it a try.
