Sony vegas pro 12 bitrate
Posted by Kass Baldwin on September 30, 2012 at 12:31 pmHey guys,
Some of you may remember me having a problem with Vegas pro 11 with rendering issues in an earlier post.
Well… The issue has followed me into Vegas 12.
The ability to swap from Vegas to adobe premiere pro is pretty poor imo. half the time it doesn’t work.So i managed to get OK looking Videos from Vegas 12, mainly due to a huge bit rate. a 4 min video will be about 1.5gb due to this.
Question is, will this affect how quick the video buffers/loads of YouTube? I’m not too fussed about the upload times, as if its long i’ll just leave it running over night. but i don’t want people to spend the next 40mins waiting for the video to load.
Regards

YouTube is going to re-encode your video into a consumable format. There is nothing to worry about as far as viewing your video on YouTube goes.
I agree with Steve that you need to figure out what is wrong with your computer. Maybe it’s time to format, re-install the Operating System and start over.

September 30, 2012 at 3:50 pmHey guys,
As ive said before ive done a full reformat. I used to use windows 7 ultimate. Ive even tried buying home premium. All of my hardware is fine.
Even tried removing the over clocks on my cpu and graphics cards. Tried multiple drivers. I dont use any codec packs as all they ever did was cause problems a few years ago. Tried running prime 95 for 12 hours to see if RAM issue…
I even tried disabling AMD crossfire. I cant think of anything else to try. My dx11 is all good too. Not sure if any of what i said makes a difference to vegas. But adobe premiere renders perfectly. problem is, im used to vegas and thats the programme i wish to use. As it is… Making lofw difficultIm as lost as you guys. ive never had issues like this…

September 30, 2012 at 11:27 pmAlso if anyone has any ideas on how my system could be causing these issues, how ever small the chance you may think it is, please post. As I’ve run out of ideas and anything new to try i will sure do.
Cheers guys!

September 30, 2012 at 11:55 pmWhy don’t you tell us more about your rendering problem starting with your project properties, your media properties, and of course your rendering template being used. From looking back at your old posts I can see you are editing AVI files. What video and audio codec does the AVI file contain?

October 1, 2012 at 1:24 amThe problem is, when i render (anything) it comes out blurry, ‘Steve Rhoden’ said in my previous post on Vegas Pro 11, it looked like my frames were over lapping i believe he said. (Would have to go back at the post to confirm)
Ive disabled re-sample which didn’t fix it either.
Ive tried every Render option under the sun.
reformat, new copy of windows, 9 types of gpu drivers, turned off my AMD Crossfire, Everything is up to date in windows, hardware is all ok. removed all over-clocks on my system, ive not installed any codec packs. the list goes on…Render settings etc… below.

October 1, 2012 at 1:29 amForgot to mention that Steve believed it was as an issue with my system. But ive no clue what that could be if im honest, as far as im concerned my system is clean and running perfect.
I also use FRAPS to record my footage. and the raw AVI file from fraps looks perfect.
I do tend to get better results out of .WMV (Although still bad)
ANd .MP4 is dreadful, with gpu enabled its all blurred and well terrible, same with CPU only enabled, but with the extra concern of making the video much darker.

October 1, 2012 at 2:24 amYou didn’t tell me about your source other than that it is FRAPS footage. Is it also being recorded at 1920×1080? Is it being recorded at 30fps? I notice you’ve changed your project and render settings from 29.97 to 30.0. I’m wondering if this may be part of the problem.
Try setting your project and render settings back to 29.97. See if that cleans the render up. I’d also like to see what you’re seeing. Is there any chance you can upload a small example of a render to DropBox? If you don’t have a DropBox account, you and I can get 500MB free space by using this link to sign up. Maybe even upload a bit of FRAPPS footage that I could render here a see what I get (which would rule out your system if I see the same thing with the same settings)

October 1, 2012 at 2:30 amI will upload some footage first thing tomorrow when i get back from work. And i normally record at 30fps and render at 30fps, even tried recording at 60fps because someone said it would give Vegas more frames to work with, although that didn’t help either.
will upload some footage first thing tomorrow.
Ty for taking the time to reply 🙂

I wasn’t able to upload any raw footage as the file size was to big.
