I pray to God one of you can help me with this.

I just purchased a Hauppauge HD PVR and I recorded some PS3 footage with it. The video file is a AVCHD file. I go to edit the file in Sony Vegas Pro 11 and everything’s looking peachy, however when I go to render the project, Sony Vegas just stalls at 1% and the estimated completion time rises continuously. The thing that confuses me most about this is that I’ve rendered videos before. I’ve recorded footage using FRAPS on my computer before and they video would render just fine.

I’ve tried to render this damn project with at least 4 different methods and each time it stalls. I’m starting to pull may hair out because of how annoying this is getting. Please, help me before I have a stroke. For the record, I have no idea how to figure this stuff out on my own, I’m illiterate when it comes to technology.

You may want to try something like MPEG Streamclip to convert files BEFORE you bring them into Vegas for editing:

Have you tried putting one raw clip in a new Vegas project alone and rendering it?

I downloaded Streamclip but now with every raw file I load into it I get the message:

“One or more transport stream files have a bad size. Do you want to open them anyway?
This usually happens when a file is incomplete.”

I’ve tried rendering my raw clips in Sony Vegas numerous times and each time I was met with failure.
