Sony Vegas Pro 11 Rendering Problems
Hello, I’d like some help in figuring out why its taking me 12+ hours to render 15 minutes of screen-captured video game footage in 720p. Right now, the elapsed time is 12 hours and it says that there is still 20 hours to go, even though I know the time estimation is most likely false, I feel like it shouldn’t have even taken this long.
My computer specs are
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Mobo: Asus P8P67 Deluxe
Processor: Intel i7 2600k
RAM: 8 GB
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX560 Ti
I have only one HDD with 860 gigs left.
If buying an SSD will help with the rendering process (which I have been planning on doing anyways), I am prepared to purchase one.
Programs:
-Sony Vegas Pro 11 (64-bit)
-Everything was recorded on a Hauppauge HD PVR at 30 frames in 720pAll drivers are updated to current.
I’ve set Vegas’ priority to high in task manager and ended any non-necessary processes such as my web browser, media player, etc. and let it render while I went to work. Once I got home from work and saw that it wasn’t finished, I let it render overnight as I slept, and I have just woken up now and seen that it still hasn’t finished yet.
My rendering procedure went as follows:
1. Imported media
2. Clicked ‘Project Video Properties’
3. Clicked ‘Match Media Settings’
4. Changed ‘Full Resolution Rendering Quality’ to Best
5. Clicked ‘File’ -> ‘Render As’
6. I’ve tried ‘Windows Media Video 11’, ‘Sony AVC/MVC’, and ‘Main Concept AVC/AAC’ all in 1280x720p in both wmv for the former and mp4 for the latter two, as I intent to upload this footage to YouTube in HD, and the render times have not changed for any of them, all take over 24 hours.
7. In the customize template options, I always go to the ‘Video Rendering Quality’ drop-down box and select Best.
8. I begin the rendering process. This is very frustrating.
