It seems to be with this project in particular even when I re-edit from scratch I get the same resultYou need to start over and provide more detailed information in the way of screenshots. Project settings, media properties, and render settings. E.g. you have yet provided no information on the media you’re using. E.g. there have been a number of recent threads reporting problems with Bandicam files. Here are some examples.
Project settings:
Media Properties:
And finally, render settings.
These are the basic building blocks. Also indicate what Fx, if any, that are being applied. You mentioned New Blue–are you using it? The more specifics you can provide, the more likely someone will be able to assist you.

September 10, 2015 at 12:54 amThanks Patrick.
Two items I’d focus on:
1] In your Project Settings Properties, uncheck “Adjust source media to better match…..”
2] What is inside your MP4 Media? Get the MediaInfo freebie and have it analyse your MP4.
You say the majority of the Media, what else besides the MP4?

September 10, 2015 at 1:56 amMediaInfo is a free software utility that provides us with the information inside the Media Wrapper. Google “MediaInfo” leaving off the quote marks.
On your second point: Whether Vegas crashes before or after the introduction of a certain media is irrelevant to where we are now, we are trying to help you to identify just what is choking Vegas.
At this point I am tempted that you start a NEW VP Project; build up with stable Media and move forward that way. Meaning, try to establish that you can create a working Project – from new.

September 10, 2015 at 2:26 amOkay media info couldn’t read my files at all, it kept crahsing so I’m not sure what to do there. And I tried putting everything into a new sony vegas file and re-editing it, and the same thing happend. I also did try the check mark on the media and same problem as before. (I’m trying to fix this as hard as I can because this is my next big project and I want to get this done, any other video I edit I have no problem, it’s only this one

If MediaInfo crashes when attempting to read only the header information in your media files, this suggests that your files are definitely corrupted. In that case, your only hope in salvaging those files would be to find some conversion application that could hopefully read them and convert them to a usable file, although in all honesty, this seems a bit unlikely. How about posting one of these files to Dropbox or something so that other members might have a go at helping you to read and/or convert them.

September 10, 2015 at 3:50 pmTry it. At this point, you don’t seem to have a lot of lose. Like I said, it would be helpful if you could post a short file so that you could confirm that it indeed is a file problem. If others experience the same problem, then you know your media are corrupted. Alternatively, do you have another system available that you could try using?
