  Sony Vegas ONLY shows audio, no video, on timeline when I insert MP4.

  I have Sony Vegas Pro 10. I have Quicktime version 7.6.9

  Okay, so I recorded a Skype interview a few days ago, using Supertintin (a software for recording audio and video skype calls).

  The file was saved as an MP4.

  I inserted the MP4 into the media list on a Sony Vegas project, but when I drag the MP4 into the timeline, only the audio appears. There is NO VIDEO.

  I grabbed a different MP4 file, one that I have used successful and edited in Sony Vegas before, and THAT one entered perfectly fine and normal into the timeline (both the audio AND the VIDEO appeared in the timeline).

  I’ve searched online, and anyone who confronts this problems either gets no response, or is given such a technically-complex answer that involves codecs and downloading multiple software, etc.

  I really have no clue what to do, and I want to get this interview completed ASAP.
