Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 10.0 Error
PLEASE HELP!! I’ve been working hours on end on a video for someone and all of a sudden, whenever I load it, seconds after being on the project, the preview box turns red and then this error pops up.

”I have updated my drives, looked for TAP (had none) under my network adapters, restarted my computer, tried renaming certain folders and files in my Sony folder in my Programs, etc, AND NOTHING HAS WORKED. I’m desperate- I need to finish this video soon but the program won’t let me get a second into editing (which has caused a lot of frustration). I’m only 16 and not very complex when it comes to Sony Vegas but I’ve been trying so many different solutions for so long and nothing has worked so I’ve come to post this and I may call Sony Customer Service sometime in the next few days.
Would be so grateful if somebody could help.. Thanks!

With the amount of things you have tried and nothing works, its because
something is wrong with one of the video files (Event) you have on the
timeline that’s causing the problem (probably corrupted or something).
You probably can identify the culprit, which would be the clip the preview
window turns red and error pops up….. Try deleting or replace it and

You may be running out of resources. Movie Studio Platinum 10 is 32-bit and only has 2GB of RAM to work with.
Try working on your project in pieces. For example if your timeline is 30 minutes long, save three ten minute sections into three project files using File -> Save As. Edit each section separately, render, and re-import into a new master project to stitch them together into a final audio and video stream. (from SCS KB)
You could search for “2GB memory cap fix”. Or better still, test with the free trial of MSPlatinum 12 or 13 to see if it fixes the problem.
