Sony Vegas – Layout is cut!

Have you changed you default Windows font size or screen DPI to something other than the default? If so, that could be your problem. Change it back and see if it helps.

In fact, yes, I changed by resolution, because I’ve threw off my old CRT Monitor (17″, 1024×768) and changed it for LCD (21″ Widescreen, 1650×1080). I tried to change it on 1024×768 after your reply, but it’s still cut.

Do You have any other advice?

I’m not talking about resolution. I’m talking about changing the DPI under Display Properties | Settings | Advanced or telling Windows to use “Large Fonts” or “Extra Large Fonts” under Display Properties | Appearance. Those are both settings that can mess up applications.

Oh, I’m sorry, I misread your reply. I changed DPI from 96 to 120 and Sony Vegas suddenly shows whole layout. Perfect, thank a lot!

But just one thing – is there any way, how can I keep my old (96) DPI and have clean layout, or I’m forced to work with 120 DPI, or Sony Vegas layout will be cut?

There is nothing you can do to change this. Some applications can adapt their GUI to DPI changes and some cannot. It’s not controllable by the end user.
