Installed Vegas 12 on an old averagely built 64bit system,
with basic GPU processing, And man i tell you, there isnt a glitch,
no crashing or hiccups no matter what i do.
It Ingest every format i through at it flawlessly, including
Panasonic P2 format (no more need for Raylight).
Obviously there’s got to be a few bugs lurking in there, but
havent come across any as yet, but we still have a long way
to run it through its paces first….. But so far Vegas 12
    is looking great….whewwww

You are lucky… For me 12 is as unstable as 11…

Are you running it on the same system you have Vegas 11
    installed on Guillaume?

Great to hear that Steve. I’ll load it up after my latest batch of time sensitive projects are done.

Yes Steve, I run both version on the same computer. The last built of VP11 (701) is a lot more stable though.

    Dont.….
Run Vegas 12 alone on a system, with no other
versions of Vegas installed. The errors of Vegas 11 will port
over to Vegas 12 it seems.

    Steve,
Where did you get this information from?

[Steve Rhoden] “The errors of Vegas 11 will port over to Vegas 12 it seems.”

If that is true, that sucks big time for me. It effectively means wiping my main editing system and rebuilding from scratch or starting with a vanilla system. No thanks!

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 11 (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

That should not be true. At least since Vegas Pro Audio, installs have been completely independent of one another.

The registry entries for all common/shared and third party plugins are used collectively between 11 and 12 (and probably have been since 9 up.) Also I noticed something that I did not expect. I registered 12 with my full name while 11 was registered under a company. Vegas 11 is now registered under my name as well… so that means not just plugin registry info is being shared but other basic info as well. The idea that certain OFX crash symptoms are ported to 12 or other possibilities of environment badness being shifted through shared plugins is not a stretch.
