Sony Vegas HD vids uploading “choppy” on Youtube
I don’t know how many of you have noticed that lately many HD vids on YouTube, especially music, upload with audio scratches or pauses in the video. If you have had this problem I discovered an easy solution to it! I will now be taking my rendered videos and immediately putting them in the good old lowly WMM and rerender them in HD there! A 400MB vids takes me less than 10 mins to save in WMM and goes down to 150MB in the process. Than I upload like normal…except my upload is now 2/3 quicker and my videos finally upload without processing screw ups. I have a XP I did have to get a HD download for my WMM but it was worth it. My video can be seen here. You would never guess to watch it that it had a second render in WMM.

you tube HD is a myth. Just imagine if you could get DVD quality from you tube…
That would be 720*576 (pal). There is no reason to go above this. You will never get DVD quality on you tube because of the compression.if you have free upload time, try exporting in NTSC wide. That will give you about 200 megs for 5 mins. That should upload fine.
If you want less upload time, I’m afraid you should use WMV codec. its actually not that bad for youtube. A five min clip should way in at about 100 megs, and there is no discernible difference between the original DVD file.
