Sony Vegas Editors in Denver Metro Area
Three months ago, I dumped Avid as the sponsor of our user group in Denver, and moved the UG away from pimping just one system.
This month I want to do a steel-cage match between the 4 major editing systems – Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas. I’ve got reps for MC And FCP, but I need the other two to represent!
I’m not looking for sales weenies or product managers….I want someone who is making money (or trying to) using Vegas as their main platform.
The meeting is next Wednesday at Rocky Mountain Audio/Video in Littleton, CO….anyone who wants to show off there stuff in Vegas please contact me!!!

I guess that would count out my guy in Denver. He/we make a living using Vegas as a primary platform, but we’re sales weenies too. 😉

….the Sony-Badged & Paid mouthpiece that goes to tradeshows and says his app is perfect, without flaw, and will cure Swine Flu. That’s a “sales weenie.”
The guy who makes a living doing editing and production with an app, but also will go on the road promoting it when invited, is a “user.”
In any event, all the Vegas guys/gals I know can’t make it, and I want this app to get some stage time. That isn’t quite desperation on my part, but it’s close.
So, if you could, I’ll take your guy.

I want to try this again, and have Vegas versus Adobe Premiere Pro. I’ve already checked with the two Vegas editors I know, but they both can’t make it.
I take back my statement about blocking sales weenies – I want my UG to see the other apps out there, and if that’s the only way to do it, I’ll do it.
