    hi, i am new here.
something wrong with my sony vegas 9. i pull some video files in it & program crashes (file type mpg).
i installed fresh windows copy, fresh vegas again but problem is still here.
very interesting, if i drag just few short files (in example now i am rendering 7 files, about 10min) everything seams okey.
    where is a problem?

I’m not sure why your system is crashing, but mpg files are highly compressed. They are not the best type of files to use with a video editor.

I convert all these files to avi & wmv (because low disk space), but vegas works not perfect. I must save my jobs, couse I afraid. a day it crashes three times. if not more.

I had a problem too with veags 9 during rendering m2ts files.
The problem occured where there were 5 or 6 tracks (at 1280×720) playing simultaneously.During the rendering, when the point where all the tracks were playing together was reached, sony vegas would crash (despite the fact the elapsed time of the rendering was still counting).
This seemed to happen every single time i tried it.
I was forced to cut out the part where the tracks were playing together and render it in another project.
I suspect this problem has to do with the hardware of the pc(cpu power) and not with the type of files.
